US-Iran War Live Updates: US President Donald Trump on Sunday said he will “soon be reviewing the plan Iran has just sent to us”, but added that he does not think a deal is likely.
The remarks come after Iran sent a 14-point proposal to the US, seeking guarantees of non-aggression, the lifting of a naval blockade, and an end to the war “on all fronts”, including in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it remains on standby for a possible return to conflict with the US, warning that a resumption of hostilities is “likely” as “evidence shows that [the US] is not committed to any agreements or treaties”.
On the ground, Israeli forces continued their bombardment of Lebanon, killing several people and damaging a Catholic building in Yaroun. The death toll since March 2 has now climbed to 2,659.
