US-Iran war LIVE updates: US forces hit Iranian radar sites after downing drones near the Strait of Hormuz, escalating conflict as Trump faces pressure and regional fighting widens.

US-Iran war LIVE updates: The fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran came under renewed pressure after fresh exchanges of fire in the Gulf. Bahrain said Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched toward Bahrain and Kuwait were intercepted, calling the attacks a “serious escalation” and urging Tehran to halt strikes on its Gulf neighbours. Iran, meanwhile, accused the US of attacking surveillance facilities near the Strait of Hormuz, describing the move as a violation of the ceasefire.
The latest flare-up comes as Washington pushes for a broader agreement to end the conflict that has disrupted global energy markets and trade. The US military said it intercepted Iranian drones and missiles it deemed a threat to maritime traffic and struck Iranian coastal radar sites in response. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it targeted US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, though the US said there were no casualties among its personnel.
Amid stalled peace talks, according to a Reuters report, a source familiar with the matter said the US is examining ways to redirect Iranian assets toward repairing damage caused by Iranian attacks in Gulf countries, a move that could further complicate negotiations.
At the same time, Pakistan has intensified diplomatic efforts to bridge differences between Washington and Tehran, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arriving in Tehran on Saturday carrying a message from Pakistan’s leadership for Iran’s Supreme Leader.
