Fashion lovers closed out NYFW with TUNL —the platform merging sports, culture, and fashion — at its second annual gala on Monday night (Sept. 15) at Lavan Midtown. The event aimed to help pay tribute to athletes, creators, and visionaries who move culture forward and was hosted by Detroit Pistons forward Cade Cunningham, who brought out his peers to celebrate the night and enjoy a performance by Gunna.

The evening brought together top athletes such as New York Giants players Brian Burns and Malik Nabers, Philadelphia 76ers player Jared McCain, New York Knicks player Miles Mcbridge, Los Angeles Sparks stars Rickea Jackson and Te’a Cooper, among others. Additional notable attendees included beloved songstress Ari Lennox, Bel-Air star Jabari Banks, Coi Leray, Cleotrapa, and plenty more.

The undeniable highlight of the night amongst guests was the brief but effective “halftime” performance by Gunna, who sauntered on stage and delivered his smash hits “one of wun” and “Fukumean” as the crowd enthusiastically shouted his lyrics back at him.

Amid the light bites and Remy Martin cocktails, the experience highlighted displays of creativity. These installations featured a TUNL x DoorDash Varsity Jacket Collaboration designed by Kendall Hurns (TUNL Founding Partner & Arte Haus Creative Director) and unveiled by NBA player Jared McCain; PINKFLAMINGOUSA x PRIX Workshop Exclusive Car Display designed by Chris Phan and Esther NG; TUNL’s official Capsule Collection all designed by Desyree Nicole; and a TUNL Arte Gallery, featuring photography by Steve “Sweatpants” Irby, Lenny S, and Antsoulo.
