Cummins India reported a standalone profit after tax (PAT) of ₹467 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, even as commodity and freight inflation weighed on margins despite steady demand across key domestic sectors.
Revenue from operations rose 4% year-on-year to ₹3,247 crore, driven by growth in both domestic and export markets. Domestic sales increased 5% to ₹2,692 crore, while export revenue rose 2% to ₹555 crore.
Managing Director Adegbile Adewunmi said demand remained healthy across key domestic segments including data centres, manufacturing, real estate and the distribution business, while exports also grew sequentially. He added that the benefits of recent pricing actions are expected to flow through progressively.
Looking ahead, Cummins India said demand across domestic and export markets is expected to remain stable, though geopolitical uncertainty, inflationary pressures, commodity price volatility and supply-chain challenges continue to pose risks. The company said it remains focused on price realisation, cost management and operational efficiency.
Cummins India share price settled 1.6% higher, quoting at ₹4,725.70 apiece. The stock has gained over 6% so far this year.
