April 28 (UPI) — World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns officially accepted a challenge from his cousin Jacob Fatu on WWE Raw.
Fatu, on Monday, explained to Reigns that he knew exactly what he asking last week when he asked for a championship match and reiterated that he doesn’t want the championship, he needs it.
Fatu also gave props to mutual cousin and WWE star Solo Sikoa, the only family member Fatu said that reached out to him while he was struggling and trying to get into WWE.
“I’ve been a little distracted. Things get a little hectic around here but I never forgot about you and I’m the one who signed off on your ass,” Reigns said in response.
“You don’t deserve it. You haven’t earned it. Me allowing you to compete against me, that’s nepotism,” Reigns continued before Fatu suddenly and viciously started choking the Tribal Chief.
Reigns attempted to fight back by using the microphone as a weapon, but Fatu quickly recovered and went right back to choking until the champion was passed out.
“I’m going to take everything, everything from you!” Fatu yelled.
Reigns remained down gasping for air as Fatu held up the World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns and Fatu will met for the title at Backlash on May 9.
