Aug. 17 (UPI) — FX released the trailer for The Drop: A Snowfall Saga on Monday. The spinoff premieres Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. EDT on FX and Hulu.
Gail Bean and Isaiah John return as Wanda and Leon. Wanda is embarking on a career in the rap music industry after getting off drugs.
The trailer shows Wanda recording a track for Artillery (Simmie “Buddy” Simms III) and attending a house party in Bloods territory. Mykelti Williamson also appears as “Big Daddy” Casey.
FX’s synopsis further explains that Wanda takes an internship with label owner Darryl “DG” Grant (Brandon Mychal Smith). Wanda’s cousins Lamar (Asante Blackk) and James Kinsey (Peyton Alex Smith) also join her in the rap game.
Snowfall ran from 2017 – 2023. Malcolm Spellman created The Drop and executive produces with Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London, Trevor Engelson and Paul Garnes.
