People Are Absolutely Roasting America’s 250th Anniversary Concert Lineup, And Honestly, It’s Really Funny
Apparently, not even Kid Rock could make it.
As you may know, the National Mall is throwing a “Great American State Fair” this June and July to celebrate the US turning 250.
The “iconic” entertainment lineup has been announced, and and it’s truly something (out of a local county fair).
First off, and probably the most well-known of the bunch, Martina McBride.
“Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” singers, C+C Music Factory.
Naturally, Vanilla Ice is there.
I’m sure tons of people are THRILLED for, uhhh, Milli Vanilli.
The Commodores will be performing.
The crowd will certainly lose their shit for Morris Day and the Time.
Surely, the National Mall will never be the same after Flo Rida performs “Low.”
And finally, the best for last, Bret Michaels.
What a group!
The internet had an absolute field day with the announcement, and the jokes practically wrote themselves:
1.
“Celebrating our 250th anniversary with a live show of … Milli Vanilli!”
2.
“Icons? Lol.”
3.
“This lineup would’ve crushed in 1989.”
4.
“This list would barely cut it at Foxwoods.”
5.
“Thought for a moment that this was for some kind of throwback day event but no, this is who they got.”
6.
“The York County Fair in Pennsylvania gets a better line-up than this.”
7.
“If you know who any of these musical acts are, here’s a reminder to schedule your colonoscopy.”
8.
“They unironically brought out Milli Vanilli. Amazing. Just amazing.”
9.
“Music icon Vanilla Ice.”
10.
“Nothing says freedom like Apple Bottom Jeans.”
11.
“the American Millennium of Humiliation is well underway.”
12.
“This is a rural casino summer band lineup.”
13.
And lastly, “Damn they couldn’t even get Kid Rock for this clown show?”
Thoughts???
