The Nifty is down over 230 points, and the index is slumping to the 23,200 mark. The Sensex is down over 700 points, stumbling to the 74,100 mark.
The NSE shares have listed at a premium at ₹1,800 per share vs the issue price of ₹1,785 per share on BSE. Insurance company stocks remain under pressure, with all key companies feeling the pinch of the new IRDAI draft paper. Here, PB Fintech is down over 28%.
Block deals are showing no signs of slowing down with at least two more lined up after seven that took place on Wednesday.
For the Nifty, the index continues to find resistance at 23,500 and that remains the key on the upside. In case the market does head lower, the 23,350 – 23,280 zone could be the first line of support, followed by the 23,250 – 23,200 zone.
