Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: It is the halfway mark of the first day of the July Series, and the markets have build on the momentum. The Nifty is moving with an uptick of over 150 points, rising towards the 24,100 mark. The Nifty Bank index is largely up, trading around the 57,900 mark, with 400 point uptick. M&M, Eternal and Nestle India are thetop gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street on this rainy day, but the spirits of the bulls seem to be unaffected. The markets are moving with momentum as it pushes higher. The Nifty is aiming to reclaim 24,100 again with a 160-point uptick. The Sensex is also up, with a rise of 550 points, rising towards the 77,100 mark.
The index is back at the lower end of the 23,800 – 24,200-24,250 range as a new F&O series begins from today. For the Nifty, defending 23,800 on the downside is key, as chartists warn that a break below those levels could drag the index back to 23,500.
The mid-week session, also the first day of a new month, will see a slew of data points being released, none more important than last month’s auto sales.
That keeps the entire sector in focus. With the quarter having ended on Tuesday, companies will also begin to report their quarterly provisional business updates, particularly the banking and FMCG stocks, along with PSU financiers and mining companies.
The biggest gainers on the Nifty 500 end are Reliance Power, RITES, Aditya Birla Real Estate, BEML and Cartrade among others.
