Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are in the second half of the day’s trade, and the markets are holding onto the gains. The markets are upbeat as they look to undo the previous session’s damage. The Nifty is up 150 points and is now aiming for the 24,100 mark. The Nifty Bank is on the rise, jumping over 600 points, moving to 57,500. Eternal, Bharti Airtel and Titan are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the markets are pushing further to hold and extend the gains, maintaining momentum as markets recover from the previous session’s losses.
The markets are looking to undo the damage, as the Nifty rises above the 24,000 mark, with the index surging over 150 points. The Sensex is up over 500 points, now jumping to the 77,000 mark. The Nifty 50 is back at the levels at which it began the July series, giving up all the gains that took it past the 24,500 mark on Wednesday.
The only positive, if any, was the fact that the bulls managed to defend the 23,800 mark going into today’s Sensex weekly expiry.
The results season that begins today with TCS reporting after market hours. IT stocks will remain in the spotlight today. For the bulls, reclaiming 24,000 and sustaining above it will be key.
For the Nifty Bank, a close below 57,000 is not something the bulls would like and that will be the first level to watch on the upside. Also keep an eye on stocks like SBI, NALCO, NLC India, Graphite India, Tata Steel and others.
