“Are you okay?!”
by Sammy Barker

SNK is really killing it at the moment, specifically with its post-release support for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
But as it prepares for the SNK World Championship 2026, which has a staggering $4.2 million prize pool across multiple titles, it’s announced a July 2026 patch for the four-year-old King of Fighters 15.
This update has kinda come out of nowhere, as many assumed the Japanese publisher had moved on from the game. According to the trailer, the patch will include “balance adjustments” for all fighters.
There’s no mention of any new content in the video, so don’t expect anything beyond the balance improvements; that’s fair, of course, considering the overall age of the game.
In our review upon launch, we said “fighting game fans can’t really go wrong with KoF15” – and it’s only got better since then.
Hopefully these balance improvements, along with enthusiasm from the SNK World Championship 2026, give it a new lease of life.
