Nobody Wants This season three is confirmed! The news comes two weeks after season two premiered on Netflix, shooting to the number one spot on the Top 10 Most Watched TV Shows. The most recent installment of the rom-com series saw the return of Rabbi Noah and podcaster Joanne as they work through their relationship and what comes next.
While Noah is grappling with his personal identity and the loss of his professional purpose, Joanne is working through whether she should convert to Judaism and how she and Noah can integrate their family lives with one another.

Needless to say, there are a lot of loose ends that still need to be tied up in Nobody Wants This season three, from whether Joanne will formally convert to what Noah’s decision to prioritize Joanne means for his role as a rabbi. How will the relationship fare post-honeymoon period? And that’s all before we’ve even figured out what’s happening with Morgan, Esther, and Sasha. Whew.
Clearly, we’re all in dire need of Nobody Wants This season three. Here’s what we know so far about what we might be able to expect, including what co-showrunners Jenni Konner and Erin Foster and cast member Kristen Bell have said about it.

Has Nobody Wants This season three been confirmed?
Yes! Netflix confirmed the season three renewal on November 4.
Creator and executive producer Foster said in a statement, “I couldn’t be more excited to head into a third season of this show. It is a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn’t take too much time away from me watching reality TV at night, I’ll do it for as long as they want me to!” Along with Foster, co-showrunners Konner and Bruce Kaplan will return as executive producers.
Said Konner and Kaplan in a joint statement, “We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of Nobody Wants This. This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster, this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience.” They added, “Go Dodgers!” because this crew is serious about Los Angeles.
The first season of the show held firm in Netflix’s top 10 for almost six weeks and was one of the best-performing comedy series on the streamer in 2024. A week after its release, season two is the number one show on Netflix in the United States.
What have Kristen Bell and executive producers Erin Foster and Jenni Konner said about the season three plot?
Bell teased in a Parade interview last month that “the writer’s room is working right now,” but couldn’t speak to what, exactly, they were writing about.
Speaking to Glamour, co-showrunner Konner kept her cards close to her chest; however she did name her dream cast additions: Gaby Hoffman and Adam Sandler.
Back in September 2024, Foster also said that she wanted to keep the show running for multiple more seasons. “I definitely wrote it with a second or third season in mind, because I got plans for Joanne,” she said.
