July 30 (UPI) — Spin City, Family Ties and Back to the Future icon Michael J. Fox — who has been guest starring on Shrinking — is getting another Emmy.
“The #78thEmmyAwards is proud to announce @realmikejfox as this year’s recipient of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award,” the Television Academy announced Wednesday.
“This award recognizes his transformative contributions to Parkinson‘s disease research and advocacy. Watch it be formally presented to Fox at the 78th Emmy Awards NBC telecast on Sept. 14.”
Fox, 65, has already won five Emmys for acting.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991.
