The official X of Kadokawa’s Dengeki no Shinbungei label announced on August 27 that Kuji Furumiya and chibi‘s Unnamed Memory: After the End light novel series will end with its eighth volume on December 17.
Furumiya began writing the original fantasy romance story on his personal website in 2008 before posting on the Shousetsuka ni Narou starting in September 2012. Kadokawa published the story in six volumes with its Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint, featuring illustrations by chibi from September 2019 to April 2021.
Naoki Etsuma began serializing a manga adaptation of the original light novel on the Monthly Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2020. Kadokawa shipped the tenth volume on March 27.
Yen Press licensed the original light novel and manga in English in July 2020 and February 2022, respectively. The sixth and final volume of the light novel went on sale in October 2022. The seventh manga volume was released on January 20, and the eighth volume is scheduled to be shipped on September 22.
Produced by ENGI, the first season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2024. A second season titled Unnamed Memory Act.2 aired in Winter 2025. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with English subtitles.
