A social media post allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued a chilling warning to Indian rapper Badshah, alongside claiming responsibility for a shooting at a business premises in Panipat.
Authorities are now investigating the incident and the authenticity of the message, as per News18.
Unidentified gunmen opened fire at the office of two men identified as Garry and Shanky on Asandh Road in Panipat. The office reportedly handled services related to Western Union and was accused by the gang of facilitating Hawala transactions, as per News18.
In a statement circulated online, individuals claiming to be Bishnoi gang members — Randeep Malik and Anil Pandit, who are said to be based in the United States — asserted responsibility for the firing.
The message described the shooting as a “trailer” meant to punish those allegedly “damaging the country’s economy” by transferring money abroad.

The post also claimed that warnings had earlier been issued via phone calls but were ignored. It further warned others allegedly involved in similar financial activities to “mend their ways” or face “dire consequences”, as per the report.
Direct threat to Badshah
The most alarming part of the message targeted rapper Badshah directly. According to News18, the gang accused the artist of “tarnishing the culture of Haryana”.
Referring to an earlier security incident linked to the singer’s club in 2024, the message suggested that the previous episode had only been a warning.
The note ended with a stark threat, stating that the next time, they would “shoot him directly in the forehead”, as per News18.
Wider network under scrutiny
The message also carried the names of several alleged gang members and associated groups, including those linked to Sampat Nehra, Jitender Gogi and Kala Rana.
Investigators say the long list of signatories reflects the broad, inter-state network of criminal groups believed to operate in coordination with the Bishnoi syndicate, as per News18.
