Lava Virat Curve 5G launched in India: Camera, battery, price and other specs revealed

Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India. The smartphone features a 3D AMOLED curved display.

The new offering from Lava comes with a unique mini rear display that shows battery levels, notifications, volume, and emojis. It allows users important notifications without unlocking their phone.

The Lava Virat Curve 5G offers Android 16 and a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. It features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,080×2,400 pixel resolution, 394ppi pixel density, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display can deliver up to 1,100 nits peak brightness. The screen has a colour depth of 1.07 billion colours.

The company is promising three years of security updates and two years of OS upgrades. The Virat Curve 5G offers 6GB LPDDR5 RAM with support for an additional 6GB of virtual RAM.

Other features offered on the device include an IR blaster, accelerometer, face unlock feature, in-display fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors. The Lava Virat Curve 5G has MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification as well as an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Lava Virat Curve 5G camera

For the rear camera, the Lava Virat Curve 5G has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 primary camera with EIS. A 13-megapixel front camera with screen flash is included for selfies and video chats.

The device also has 10x Digital Zoom level, 2k video recording at 30fps, and 720p slow motion video recording at 120fps.

The company is offering aa 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Lava claims to offer up to 720 hours of standby time, 55 hours of talk time, and 660 minutes of YouTube playback on a single charge.

Lava Virat Curve 5G price

The phone comes with a premium vegan leather finish with three colour options – Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory, and Ellora Slate.

The device will go on sale on Flipkart from September 28. The Lava Virat Curve 5G is priced at ₹23,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB version.
