Lauren Sánchez Details Small Diet Changes to Lose Weight Before Jeff Bezos Wedding
Lauren Sánchez is sharing how she prepared for her wedding to Jeff Bezos.
The 55-year-old, who exchanged vows with the Amazon founder June 27 in Venice, Italy, revealed her secret to shedding three and a half pounds from her 5-foot-4 frame before her walk down the aisle: sticking to her regular fitness regime.
“Some people meditate, I work out,” she told Vogue in an interview published June 27. “It’s something Jeff and I do every morning. We have our coffee, we talk about whatever’s going on and then we go to the gym.”
However, Lauren did note that in the weeks leading up to the destination wedding—which was attended by the couple’s celeb pals including Orlando Bloom, Eva Longoria, Leonardo DiCaprio, Karlie Kloss and Kim Kardashian—she avoided alcohol and limited her salt intake. Otherwise, she told the outlet, her usual eating habits remained intact.
“I like food,” she continued. “Food is such a big part of life. I’m Latin!”
Days before the nuptials, the journalist—who shares kids Evan, 19, and Ella, 17, with ex Patrick Whitesell as well as Nikko Gonzalez, 24, with ex Tony Gonzalez—put her toned figure on display as she stepped out in the European city wearing a floral Schiaparelli gown complete with a skin-tight textured corset. She donned the head-turning number as she and Jeff, 61, made their way to a welcome party they hosted at the Madonna dell’Orto church, according to NBC News.

As for her walk down the aisle, her hours at the gym paid off as she slipped into a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring Italian lace and a modest, high neckline that was inspired by Sophia Loren.
“It is a departure from what people expect,” Lauren told Vogue, “from what I expect—but it’s very much me.”
The designer Stefano Gabbana agreed, telling the outlet, “She wants to do a very classic and elegant wedding.”
He added, “She didn’t want to do something very flashing or bling bling.”
