Jada Pinkett Smith has been hit with a $3 million lawsuit accusing her of threatening the life of a man once connected to Will Smith.

The lawsuit, obtained by Page Six, has intensified the ongoing conflict between Bilaal Salaam” (also known publicly as Brother Bilaal Salaam) and the Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Filed on Nov. 7, the lawsuit marks the latest development in a saga that first entered public view in 2023, when Salaam came forward with allegations concerning the Smiths’ marriage and sexual lifestyle—including claims regarding Will Smith’s alleged interactions with other men.

In the new filing, Salaam accuses Jada Pinkett Smith of threatening his life and orchestrating efforts to undermine his reputation and silence him.

According to Salaam, the threat occurred on Sept. 25, 2021 while he was in attendance at Smith’s 53rd birthday party held at the Regency Calabasas Common.

“While in the lobby, Jada Pinkett Smith approached Plaintiff with approximately seven members of her entourage, became verbally aggressive, and threatened Plaintiff by stating that if he continued ‘telling her personal business,’ he would ‘end up missing or catch a bullet,’ the lawsuit claims.

According to Salaam, he was ordered to “sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) ‘or else.’” The filing further alleges that an associate of Pinkett Smith followed Salaam to his car while continuing to threaten him.

The lawsuit states that Salaam says “a retaliatory campaign” was launched against him after he refused to help manage the fallout from Will Smith’s widely publicized 2022 Oscars incident involving Chris Rock.

Salaam contends he was asked to perform tasks he believes were “illegal, unethical, or morally compromising,” according to the lawsuit.

He is also suing Jada for intentional infliction of emotional distress, asserting that she publicly denied ever witnessing Smith being sexually intimate with men.

According to the filing, “This was a false denial, as Plaintiff had already released a viral video showing Will Smith groping Alfonso Ribeiro (including his penis, nipple, and buttocks) in front of Defendant and her children, who were visibly present.” Ribeiro has never commented on Salaam’s claim.

The lawsuit states that this “false denial” was intended to discredit him and cast doubt about his claims regarding Smith were “inaccurate, delusional, or fabricated, causing severe public ridicule and loss of credibility.”

Salaam claims Pinkett Smith acted with “malicious, intentional, and reckless conduct,” and further alleges he was threatened with physical harm by Pinkett Smith’s manager to dissuade him from releasing a memoir about his relationship with the Smiths.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have yet to address the lawsuit publicly. Salaam is seeking $3 million in damages, citing reputational harm, financial losses, and emotional trauma.
