RALEIGH, North Carolina—Inn-Flow announced the launch of Essential BI, a redesigned financial reporting experience that enables hotel owners, operators, and management companies to access and work with their financial data. Essential BI simplifies time-consuming reporting workflows with an experience that allows finance teams to generate reports in seconds, explore results interactively, and manage recurring reporting across their portfolio.
With Essential BI, a full-portfolio Operating Statement that previously could take up to 20 minutes to generate can now be delivered in seconds. Combined with reusable reporting packages, centralized controls, and interactive data exploration, the new experience allows finance teams to spend less time producing reports and more time understanding performance and making informed decisions.
Essential BI also changes how hotel teams assemble and manage recurring financial reports. Instead of generating reports individually, repeatedly selecting properties and dates, and manually combining results, users can organize multiple reports in one workspace. Global controls make it easy to apply property and date selections across an entire reporting package, while individual reports can still be filtered, sorted, and customized independently. Packages can be saved, reused, and updated for future reporting periods.
Statement From Leadership
“Hotel finance teams are under constant pressure to deliver accurate, timely financial information across increasingly complex portfolios, yet too much of their time is spent gathering and assembling reports rather than interpreting what the numbers mean,” said Lee Bridges, chief product officer for Inn-Flow. “With Essential BI, we’re making that process dramatically faster and easier. By bringing related reports together in one flexible reporting experience, we’re helping our customers spend less time producing information and more time using it to understand performance and make informed business decisions.”
Additional Details
Essential BI makes reporting faster, more flexible, and easier to manage with five key capabilities:
- Reports in seconds: Generate complex financial reports across properties and portfolios without long wait times.
- Reusable reporting packages: Combine related reports in one workspace and save packages for recurring use.
- Global reporting controls: Apply property and date selections across multiple reports at once, with the flexibility to customize individual reports.
- Interactive reporting: Sort, filter, and explore financial data directly within reports.
- Easy exports: Download consolidated reporting packages with a single click.
Powered by a new data infrastructure built with Snowflake, the reporting foundation is designed to support faster performance at portfolio scale while creating opportunities for more consistent reporting experiences across Inn-Flow’s integrated solutions.
Essential BI begins rolling out Oct. 19, 2026, with an initial collection of frequently used Accounting reports, including the Operating Statement, Balance Sheet, General Ledger, Trial Balance, Check Register, Daily Activity Report, and Statistics & Revenue Summary. Additional reporting capabilities will be introduced as the solution evolves.
Future Updates
Although the initial release focuses on Accounting, Inn-Flow plans to extend the enhanced reporting foundation to additional areas of its platform, including Labor and Facilities. The company is also developing advanced business intelligence capabilities, including proactive insights that help identify areas requiring attention and leaderboards that provide greater visibility into comparative portfolio performance.
“Essential BI is an important step in our broader vision for business intelligence at Inn-Flow,” added Bridges. “We’re investing in a reporting foundation that can grow with our customers and ultimately bring financial and operational information together in more meaningful ways. Our goal is to make it easier for hospitality leaders to access the information they need, understand what’s happening across their businesses and act with greater confidence.”
