1. A bottle of Bioclean if you’ve tried everything to get rid of the hard water stains on your cloudy glass shower doors, faucets, tiles, and grout, and they STILL look like they’ve been through the struggle. It works on pools too!
Promising reviews: “LOVE THIS! I hate cleaning my bathroom and using so many chemicals that never seem to work. I saw this product and decided to try it, and WOW, it was so easy to use and worked like magic on my glass shower, shower tiles, and sink/faucet. Picture 1: Before cleaning. Picture 2: After cleaning the glass but before cleaning the tile floor. Picture 3: After cleaning the glass and tile floor. This is definitely a must-buy product!!!!” —Laura
“Wow. Don’t waste your time with any other formulation that you found online. I’ve literally tried EVERYTHING! The soap / vinegar / baking soda, the expensive store-bought ‘hard water cleaners.’ I’ve scrubbed for HOURS! But this. This product is like magic. It’s kind of like a paste that you can rub on with a microfiber towel, and the hard water stains literally just RUB OFF. Like butter! Seriously, the easiest option I have tried yet. I stopped within the first five minutes of cleaning to do this review because I’m in shock lol. Coming from someone who never writes reviews! Take that as a sign to buy this immediately. What a game changer, I’m mad I’m just now finding this stuff lol!” —_kayla_carter

2. A pack of duster sponges that are super similar to the often sold-out Scrub Daddy Damp Duster. With these, there’s no need to juggle a bunch of different cleaning tools or products — just give it a quick dampen, and you’re ready for a deep-cleaning session or a quick touch-up before guests arrive.
Promising reviews: “This product is amazing! It makes cleaning so much easier and takes way less time! I used to hate cleaning my baseboards, but this product has made cleaning them so easy that I actually don’t mind doing it anymore! It is also great for blinds! Definitely worth it!” —Julia
“I rarely review products, but this little sponge literally changed my life! It picks up EVERYthing in one swipe! Hard water marks on your bathroom mirror, no problem! Hair clippings on your sink and counter, one swipe and they are gone! Dusty blinds? Swoosh, swoosh, swipe! And ala-presto ka-bam, like magic, they are perfect and dust-free! I just need one of these for my floors! I love, love, love how the sponge picks up everything, and with a little running water, all the dust, hair, muck, and guck just rinsed away! 3. An extendable duster because the idea of having to pull out a ladder or stand on a wobbly chair just to get those dust bunnies is already off-putting. This duster stretches over five feet, so all those ceiling fans, light fixtures, and awkward corners don’t stand a chance. The microfiber head is basically a dust magnet, and the bendable neck lets you maneuver around tricky spots.
It can rotate and bend at different angles, and it even has a microfiber head you can toss in the wash and reuse.
Promising reviews: “Let me preface this with: I hate dusting. I don’t do it, and I use the vacuum whenever possible if I remember. This thing is magic. Extendable, bendable magic. Love it. My only peeve is that it swivels around. [But] I think it’s supposed to do that.” —V 13
“Works very well. The telescoping handle has a super-long reach when extended all the way. There is nowhere in my home I can’t reach with this. The duster really grabs and holds onto cobwebs and dust. I cleaned my ceiling fans without dust falling onto me and the floor below. There is also a rubber tip at the end of the duster that keeps it from scratching or marring surfaces, which I thought was very nice. My only complaint is that I wish the rubber handle at the end were attached a bit better. It pulls totally off every time I extend the arm, but that’s a very simple fix and doesn’t really affect its performance.” —Julia Shafer
Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in six colors and a set with additional duster heads).
4. A compact Levoit air purifier if you’ve been walking around your home sneezing from what you *thought* was just seasonal allergies, but it’s actually the layer of dust coating every surface of your 500-square-foot apartment. This bb is equipped with a true HEPA filter designed to banish pet dander, dust, odors, and other particles lurking around. That means less time spent with a duster in hand and more time to enjoy the newfound freshness and improved air quality of your home.
Promising review: “We retired to the Southwest US, which is just a huge dust bowl. I didn’t want to be breathing in the dust, and I absolutely hate dusting furniture. So I researched air purifiers and chose this model. In order to filter dust, it seems I needed a HEPA filter, which this purifier uses. While not washable, they can be vacuumed, which I do about once a week, so they last longer. Overall, the price for the purifier and the filters was less for this model than for others I researched. I bought the large model of this purifier for the main room of our 1,200 square-foot townhouse, and it works really well. I only have to dust every 3–4 weeks, which suits me just fine. I think the purifier is about as loud as a white noise machine, so not very loud in my opinion. My husband, who wears hearing aids, finds it noisier than I do. I bought two of the smaller version of this same purifier for the two bedrooms. While they are just a smaller version of this machine, they don’t work nearly as well. It gets dusty in those rooms within days. I wish I had purchased the larger version for those rooms, too. I’ve had all three purifiers going 24/7 for four months now, and the filters are nowhere near the point where they need changing, again noting that I vacuum them weekly. So all in all, these purifiers have been very economical to use.” —SuesZoo

5. Hope’s Perfect Sink that left one reviewer amazed after transforming their sink when they believed it was totally beyond repair. This gentle cleaner is specially formulated to tackle stainless steel, porcelain, cast iron, acrylic, and more. Not only does it restore that gleam, but it also leaves behind a water-repellent barrier so future messes just glide right off. So in theory, your sink will basically clean itself!
BuzzFeed Shopping editor Maitland Quitmeyer says: “I bought this for my white porcelain kitchen sink, and I’ve since texted five people about it, which is really a lot for such a boring grown-up product. It cleans beautifully, but the *best* thing about it is its ability to repel stains after cleaning. You know that thing when you rinse out your coffee cup, and the coffee water just lingers in your sink, and you have to purposefully rinse it out for two minutes? You don’t have to do that — the coffee can’t stick to the sink and just goes RIGHT down the drain. Time saved, sink clean — this is really a Virgo dream product right here.”
Promising review: “Holy banana peppers! This stuff ROCKS! I hate cleaning. You clean, and stuff looks okay and smells nice for like an hour, and then it’s as if you’ve never cleaned. We have a deep stainless steel sink that I love, except for the cleaning. It never looks clean, so cleaning it isn’t exactly rewarding. I saw this on BuzzFeed and ordered it. I splooshed some in the sink, like I did with Bar Keepers Friend liquid, and scrubbed away as usual. However, when I went to rinse, it was all sparkly and shiny, and the water beaded up! I seriously made my husband and daughter come into the kitchen to look at my sparkly sink! This is the cleanest this sink has ever been, and I seriously LOVE this product!” —Amazon Customer

6. A fume-free oven cleaner you can let sit overnight to wipe away years of spills and burnt bits. As an added bonus, you can clean out your disaster zone of an oven without being left with a headache from the fumes. It’ll be so clean in there, it’ll practically look brand-new.
Promising review: “I HATE cleaning my oven, and this is evident by the fact that I won’t do it until it fills up with smoke when baking. I bought new appliances, and I was meticulous about keeping the stove/oven clean by not using it. Well, when you’re a mom, that kind of doesn’t work, so I made sure to not have anything splash on the stove or in the oven when cooking and to immediately clean anything that got by me. That also only lasts so long when I work long hours, so I used to tell myself, ‘You’ll clean it tomorrow.’ As you all know, that’s code for someday.
“This one was the oven cleaner I decided to put my hard-earned money on, and it paid off! I sprayed everything the night before, and I was ready with my gloves and mask, but I didn’t need them. There was no splash back when spraying and no overwhelming smell. Got up the next day, opened the oven, and 30 minutes later, it was brand new. I was so happy, and this is my go-to. I use it about once a month and do the self-clean in between. I’ve used it on the racks of my little toaster oven as well, and the grime comes right off. I’ve included a before and after cause, I know pictures are worth a thousand words.” —Sandra Stephens

7. A bacteria- and virus-killing Clorox toilet wand starter kit complete with a wand, six disposable heads infused with cleaner, and a caddy for storage. Just snap on a cleaning head, scrub away all the yuck and gunk, and then toss the used head into the trash. No more dirty rags or sponges that need to be sanitized or thrown away!
I also use these for quick touch-ups in my shower in between deep cleans when I don’t feel like pulling out a scrub brush!
Promising review: “Let’s be real – cleaning toilets is a necessary evil. There is nothing that I hated doing more. I used to avoid Clorox wands due to the price of the scrubbing heads. Why spend that money when you can use your traditional toilet bowl cleaner for way cheaper? Because it makes it SO EASY. No need to deal with gloves, messy toilet bowl cleaners, keeping the bristles of a brush clean, keeping the brush and container dry so it’s not gross, etc. These wands take the YUCK out of cleaning it. I’d rather pay the few extra bucks each month to be less grossed out. I have one for each bathroom, but you could use one head for two toilets if you really wanted to. If you dislike cleaning toilet bowls the traditional way as much as I do, buy this product. You won’t regret it.” —Emily J.

Bonus points for the setup process only taking about a minute.
While we may not have robot maids yet, this innovation is definitely a step in the right direction!
Promising reviews: “If you hate scrubbing the toilet bowl like I do, then this product is for you. The bleach only goes into the bowl water, not the tank, so it doesn’t make your tank parts disintegrate. Don’t get me wrong; you still have to clean your toilet seat and stuff, but this keeps the bowl itself sparkly clean! Just love it!” —S.L. Beason
“My toilets generally get a hard water ring around them within a few days of cleaning, it was infuriating and I found myself cleaning toilets literally 2-3 times a week just to get rid of that little ring around the water line. These were so cheap I figured why not so I bought three of them and OH MY GOODNESS THEY WORK!!!!!! I’ve had these installed on all three of my toilets for 60 days now and from what I’m seeing I should be able to clean my toilets maybe once every two months now. I am so happy. If you have hard water buildup issues do yourself a favor and buy one of these, try it on a single toilet first just to be sure but I think you will be happy :).” —nima bean

I hate stinky smells, and I live with a roommate that smokes…do the math. Candles, air fresheners, incense, I tried it all, and they weren’t cutting it. One day my TikTok FYP gods were watching over me and I stumbled upon a video of someone using hypochlorous acid to clean their entire apartment. I ran to Amazon and bought two gallons right off the bat. I sprayed the walls, the carpet, the furniture, directly into the air, EVERYWHERE. I let it settle, left to run a quick errand, and when I came back, I walked through the front door and finally couldn’t smell *anything*. My prayers have finally been answered. I do have to respray surfaces at least every other day to get rid of odors. On the label, it says you can also pour this into a humidifier so that you don’t have to actively spray it every day. I’ll give that a try next. But my final consensus, 10/10!
Promising review: “Saw recommendations for cat owners that this helps with the ‘cat smell,’ and that if you spray it on your pillows in the morning, it helps clear your skin by killing bacteria. So far I feel like it’s really worked. It hasn’t been long enough to see changes in my skin, but the smell is helped MAJORLY. I spray it on my carpet, curtains, bedding, couch, everything and it takes smell out of everything. At first it smells a little bleachy, but that quickly fades to nothing. and it doesn’t bleach stain anything. Also great for if u smoke flower.” —Kylie Nicole

I really do hate cleaning cat hair, so when I bought my new couch, I thought, Why not? Holy cow. This thing is magical. It used to take me 15–20 minutes to vacuum my furniture. A good power wash each spring was never enough to stop the moss from returning, and month after month during the summers was a struggle, man vs plant. It is now going into August and I have not had even a wisp of moss this year — I mean nothing! I would recommend this product without any reservations. Alas, I have two dogs, two cats, two men, and a crepe Myrtle tree. Vacuuming must be done regularly. I’ve had a Dyson for several years, but it decided it’d had enough last week. Ordered this guy on Friday. Y’all! Apparently my Dyson hasn’t sucked in quite some time. I got up so much hair and dirt. I think my rug is a different color. Definitely helped with the dog smell. Promising review: “I just had my hardwood floors refinished and got the one large area rug in my house deep cleaned. I have two dogs who were cordoned off in the kitchen for the whole time the floors were being refinished, except for the little trips in a hallway to the upstairs to go to bed at night and down in the mornings. The pic I have attached is from running the Eufy (Harry) for the first time after getting the rug back and putting furniture back in the downstairs of my house. I was appalled and thrilled! I have run it two times a day for the last two days with much the same result. Icky, but this thing is a beast. It is very easy to clean, comes with tools, extra brushes and a filter and I’m not sure how I have lived without it for all these years with dogs. I recommend highly.” —L.Allen

I put on gloves (which is recommended on the packaging) and simply applied a thin strip to the area with black spots, then let it sit for six hours. After that point, all you do is rinse and check out the results! I didn’t need to do a second application, but if you’re dealing with some particularly tough stains, you can reapply as needed.”
Promising reviews: “I bought this product after seeing it on BuzzFeed. I wasn’t sure it was going to work, but took the chance as I hate scrubbing my shower grout. I was surprised that it actually worked. The application was easy. The rinse-off was easy and I was left with the whitest looking grout! 10 out of 10, would buy again!” —Jamie A
“I CANNOT emphasize enough that this stuff works MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had taken before photos, because when I say magic, I mean UTTER WITCHCRAFT. The caulking around my tub was staining moldy, but a little hit of this, and it was GLOWING WHITE like we had just recaulked. I recommended it to my aunt, whose house was built in the 1970s, so her tub caulking stains were over 40 years in the making, and she was going to pay someone to come in to strip the caulk and do it over new. I told her no need — just use some of this stuff! Worked like witchcraft AGAIN!!!! Her caulking is also glowing white now, and she’s recommending it to HER friends now!!! This stuff is so good you’ll recommend it to everyone you know. No caulking stains are too deep for this!!!!!!” —Amazon Customer

Promising reviews: “I hate mopping. I love the Shark Steam and scub. I have tried many different products over the years, always looking for an easier way to mop. The steam and scrub is by far the easiest product I’ve ever used. I was able to clean all my tile rooms in less than an hour. The power and steam were perfect, having the long cord was great. When I washed the pads in the washer they came out like new. I highly recommend this product.” —Arizona

It warms up in seconds and instantly has my floors spotless and without excess water. They dry quickly. Then simply throw the cleaning pads into the wash on a gentle cycle and air dry. I wish I had bought this years ago!!” —Valerie

Promising reviews: “I am obsessed with these cleaning rags. My windows have never been cleaner, and there is no pile of paper towels that I am throwing away. I HATE cleaning my windows, but these make it so easy. Literally the cleanest windows I have ever had. Throw them in the laundry when they get dirty. Do yourself and the planet a favor and get these. Also great on mirrors and glass tabletops.” —mckeeca
“OMG, these things are a miracle. I’ve always hated cleaning my windows and shower because it was such a pain to get it streak-free and I hated using rolls and rolls of paper towels to do it. After having cleaned the windows inside my car and doing such a poor job recently, I took my car to the carwash mainly to have them do that. As I was waiting for them to finish up, I started to wonder what they were using to clean the windows because they did it fast, left no streaks, and only used rags. I had used rags in the past with terrible results. When I got home, I started researching it and found these. They work unbelievably well, and I only have to use water??? Who would have known? I’ve used them on my shower, windows, glass, and even my stainless steel appliances. I hate cleaning my appliances!!! The only thing I ever found was polish, which was an absolute hassle and time-consuming. Well, THIS WORKED FOR THAT TOO!!! It was easy, only had to use water, and gave an excellent result. I wish I had figured this out a long time ago and saved myself a lot of time and irritation.” —Amazon Customer

Promising review: “This is my new baby, and I hate cleaning, that is how well it works. However, do know that it may take more than one swipe to completely eliminate all of the heavy pet odors, but a second pass makes it perfect. It is not a big site, but great for smaller homes or apartments, even just for a rug cleaner too. Very much worth it. Instead of using a Rug Doctor that is 40 bucks a day, for the price of two days’ renting, you could get this and use it as much as you need. Again, great little carpet cleaner. Easy to put together, easy to use. Clear proper instructions.” —TheStonedReaver
