Aug. 6 (UPI) — HBO Max has announced a documentary about the beloved family dramedy, Gilmore Girls, is now in production and will premiere “soon.”

The streaming service made the announcement Wednesday on social media, with a photo of stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, who play mother and daughter Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.

“Oh hey, hi… we’re making a documentary,” Graham wrote on her own Instagram account.

The show about life in the fictional small town of Stars Hollow, Conn., initially ran from 2000 to 2007, then returned for a limited series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life in 2016.
