From Mirzapur to Kanpur to Prayagraj: Meet UP’s 46 richest people on Hurun’s 2026 list

Uttar Pradesh’s wealth map is shifting rapidly, with 46 entrepreneurs from the state featuring in the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026. Their combined net worth stands at roughly ₹1.89 lakh crore. Noida has emerged as the biggest hub for the state’s wealthy, with the city alone contributing 15 names to the list.

The count has risen from 41 names last year to 46 this year, an increase of five. However, the churn beneath the numbers is larger: 11 new names entered the list, while six from last year’s list dropped out.

Noida dominates the list

Fifteen entrepreneurs from Noida made it to the Hurun list, the highest from any city in the state. Aditya Khemka tops the group with a net worth of ₹32,200 crore. Other names from the city include Puneet Gupta, Hitesh Oberoi, Ajay Kumar, Yashish Dahiya and Dinesh Chandra Agarwal.

Kanpur in second place with 10 names

Kanpur follows with 10 entrepreneurs on the list. These include Raj Kumar Lohia (₹5,800 crore), Som Prakash Goenka (₹5,500 crore) and Surendra Kumar Gupta (₹5,500 crore), and Muralidhar Gyan Chandani (₹5,400 crore). Notably, Goenka and Gupta, both linked to the Goldie Masale group, together hold a combined net worth of around ₹11,000 crore.

Sachin Agrawal leads Lucknow’s four entries

Lucknow has four names on the list, led by Sachin Agrawal with a net worth of ₹15,300 crore. He is followed by Anil Kumar Singh (₹4,800 crore), Vinod Kumar Singh (₹1,400 crore) and Anand Swaroop Agrawal (₹1,100 crore).

UP’s three wealthiest individuals

Across the state, Noida’s Aditya Khemka ranks as the richest, followed by Lucknow’s Sachin Agrawal and Prayagraj’s Alakh Pandey.

Eleven new entrants this year

The 2026 list welcomes 11 new entrepreneurs from UP. From Noida: Puneet Gupta, Ajay Kumar and Anupam Ghosh. From Kanpur: Raj Kumar Lohia, Som Prakash Goenka, Surendra Kumar Gupta and Gopal Gupta.

From Agra: Gulab Chand Ladhani. From Gorakhpur: Prem Prakash Agarwal and Santosh Kumar Agarwal. From Mirzapur: Govindji Gupta.

Six names from last year’s list have exited this time: Sunil Vachani, Geetambar Anand and Arvind Gupta from Noida; Tasneef Ahmed Mirza and Mahendra Mohan Gupta from Kanpur; and Radheshyam Dixit from Bulandshahr.

Wealth spread across multiple sectors

According to Hurun India’s chief analyst Anas Rahman, the entrepreneurs on UP’s list span a wide range of businesses, including electronics, manufacturing, education, real estate, food products, software, financial services, healthcare, construction, metals and mining, and aerospace.

This shows that the state’s new wealth is no longer confined to traditional trade, with technology, education, real estate and newer industries now playing a significant role in shaping the fortunes of its prominent business families.
