Including the first three Fables!
With all the focus being on the Xbox Developer Direct showcase this week, we’ve not been paying an awful lot of attention to the various sales on the Microsoft Store over the past few days, but we have noticed that plenty of backwards compatible games are discounted right now!
Most of these are part of the Developer Direct Sale itself, which reduces classics like the Fable games, Lost Odyssey, Jade Empire, Psychonauts, Blue Dragon and various other fantastic original Xbox and Xbox 360 games.
So, with that in mind, we thought we’d provide you with a full list of backwards compatible games from the OG Xbox and Xbox 360 eras that are on sale this weekend. All of these will still be discounted beyond the weekend as well, so there’s no need to rush — the expiry date for each of them is set as February 2nd, 2026.
