From electric MPVs and neo-retro motorcycles to updated SUVs and commuter-focused innovations, automakers are clearly doubling down on variety and technology to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
If you haven’t kept up with this week’s developments, here’s a closer look at some of the latest launches.
VinFast VF MPV 7 launch
Following the VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs, VinFast has introduced its third offering for the Indian market, the VF MPV 7. This electric three-row MPV, priced from ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom), can be booked via the official website for ₹21,000.
The new model is powered by a 60.1kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor, producing 201bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under nine seconds.
Key features include all-LED lighting, 19-inch alloy wheels, second-row split seats with a tumble function, leatherette upholstery, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AC vents for all three rows, and USB Type-C charging ports. The MPV also offers three drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), over-the-air (OTA) updates, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-tone leatherette upholstery, and an air purifier.
Bajaj Dominar 400
Bajaj Auto has rolled out the 2026 Dominar 400, now featuring a downsized 350cc liquid-cooled engine. Priced at ₹2.03 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle produces 40.6hp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm at 7,500rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The Dominar 400 continues to be offered in two colour options: green and black.
Volkswagen Taigun facelift
Volkswagen has launched the Taigun facelift in India, with prices starting at ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom). The update brings sharper styling, highlighted by connected LED lighting and an illuminated logo.
The SUV also receives feature upgrades, including a larger digital instrument cluster and additional comfort technologies. Mechanically, it retains the existing engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit. However, like the Kushaq, the 1.0-litre TSI engine now comes with an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Esel eUrban electric bike
Austrian brand Esel has introduced its new eUrban electric bike, drawing attention with its ash-wood frame construction. Unlike conventional models, the eUrban uses Esel’s Hollow Tec wooden design, offering a distinctive aesthetic along with potential vibration-dampening benefits.
Available in two versions—Basic and Performance—the bike is designed for urban commuting, with differences in components and weight.
The Basic variant features 28-inch aluminium wheels, a 10-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain, and weighs approximately 18.5kg. The Performance variant is lighter at around 16.5kg and upgrades to carbon wheels and an 11-speed Shimano Deore XT setup.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6
Royal Enfield has also launched the long-awaited Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle in India. This neo-retro EV blends classic design with modern technology, aiming to deliver a distinctive and stylish urban commuting experience.
The Flying Flea C6 is powered by a lithium-ion battery paired with an electric motor that offers performance comparable to a 125–150cc petrol motorcycle. It features five riding modes—Eco, Rain, Tour, Performance and Custom—allowing riders to tailor the experience to their preferences.
