These diners have got major beef with the steakhouse.
The beef behemoth is facing growing boycott calls after a TikTok went viral alleging a Facebook group called “White and Proud” was targeting black customers. The TikTok, posted by user Sannie Yeanay, read aloud that white servers were deliberately contaminating food.
The user said that the Facebook group had over 400,000 members where white servers discussed heading back to the kitchen’s “blind spot,” licking their fingers, touching food and spitting on rolls ordered by black diners, according to the claim.
Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s Roadhouse were the only restaurants named where the post claims even the cooks took part in the disgusting allegations.
The video has nearly 500,000 views and more than 16,500 comments. Texas Roadhouse has now responded to claims on TikTok, highlighting its standards for both employee and customer conduct.
“At Texas Roadhouse, we are committed to creating an environment where every guest is treated with respect and hospitality,” the company said. “We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or mistreatment of any kind.”
Just a day later, the steak chain posted another statement to its TikTok making an even more direct remark, and sharing it is investigating the “abhorrent” claims.
“We are aware of the video that is being shared with an accusation that has been made toward our restaurants,” the steakhouse said.
“We believe it to be completely unfounded and we take every accusation toward our brand seriously. We are investigating this alleged abhorrent behavior and remain committed to treating every guest with respect, dignity, and the Legendary Service they deserve.”
But the damage was done; customers flocked to the Texas Roadhouse post where thousands condemned the chain and even refused to dine at any location again.
“BABY WE WILL N E V E R step foot in another Texas Roadhouse EEEEEVER again! That’s a promise and far from a threat,” one user wrote.
Another commenter was upset over the Texan-inspired chain’s second post, calling out the spot for saying the claim was unsubstantiated.
“Saying you believe it’s unfounded and then saying you’ll investigate is crazy. I saw the video and immediately was put off. There needs to be firings and a LOT of retraining,” the user said.
One commenter, who claims to be a former cook at an unspecified location, even confirmed that this is something that happened at least at their spot.
“As a former cook at one of their locations, I can confirm 100% it’s true and goes on at all locations. It’s an open secret,” the allegedly ex-cook wrote.
The Post could not find the “White and Proud” Facebook group, its size or members. No screenshots or other evidence have been publicly released, but The Post has reached out to Logan’s Roadhouse for comment but has not heard back.

“Our current investigation, along with many other outside sources, firmly point to this being an online hoax. There is no credible evidence of food tampering, and the Facebook post has since been deleted,” the chain said.
“Several online publications are reporting that there is no credible evidence supporting the claims. Additionally, users who initially amplified these claims have retracted their posts and admitted it was a hoax,” the spokesperson added.
