The sex-and-death storyline of Broadway’s long-running musical Chicago might seem like a surprising fit for Whitney Leavitt, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but that’s only if you weren’t paying attention to her recent turn on Dancing With the Stars. The show basically served as her audition for the part, complete with a dance to “Cell Block Tango,” though she and partner Mark Ballas placed sixth.
Eager to keep dancing, Leavitt will soon join the cast of the show as murderess Roxie Hart, taking the stage from February 2, 2026, through March 15, per Playbill. The role marks Leavitt’s stage debut.
The influencer and mom of three celebrated the news online, posting a short video of herself snapping in time to the opening notes of the song “Roxie” and writing, “Grateful beyond words to ANNOUNCE that I will be joining @chicagomusical in the iconic role of Roxie Hart 💕 beginning Feb.2nd 2026! See you in New York City! #chicagoonbroadway.”

You might remember that Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix also played Roxie Hart on Broadway and was far from the first reality star to take on the role, following in the footsteps of Bravolebrities Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne.
This isn’t the first time that Leavitt has proven that she can take her stage presence to a wider audience, so to speak. When she and partner Mark Ballas were eliminated from DWTS before they had a chance to perform their freestyle duet, Call Her Daddy gave them a chance to do the routine for the podcast instead, and their episode quickly racked up millions of views (the dance is at the end and it’s very good).
Prior to DWTS and even before the #MomTok dances that first catapulted her to fame, Leavitt danced as a kid, telling People, “Dance was such a big part of our community. Some of my favorite memories are late-night practices with friends, long weekends at competitions, and the pure joy of performing on stage.”
Ultimately, Chicago is a great chance for Whitney Leavitt to show off the personality that gained her a legion of fans in the first place and the skills she learned on DWTS. Here’s hoping she kills it, pun very much intended.
