The dawn before the Forza day
Welcome to another weekend! There may feel like a bit of a lull here as we all await Forza Horizon 6‘s arrival (it’ll be out this time next week in early access!) but no matter, there’s still plenty to be playing on Xbox and beyond.
Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

Ahead of Forza’s early access release next Friday, I’m going to be spending some of this weekend on the last couple of Horizon entries. I spoke recently on the site about how Forza Horizon 4 was still popping off and the fact that I was very much enjoying that – and this weekend I may dip into a little Forza Horizon 5 too, just to get me back up to speed.
Now that I’m just about wrapping up my playthrough of Resident Evil Village on Switch 2 as well, I might also start some of The Occultist on Xbox. I grabbed this one a few weeks ago but haven’t got around to trying it yet. It’s time for me to get another horror game in my rotation here, so why not give this one a go and see what I make of it?!

Have you heard about this new Steam title called Dead as Disco? It’s a rhythm game that takes inspiration from Hi-Fi RUSH, Sifu and Batman: Arkham, and you can even put your own music into it. There’s no Xbox console version at the moment unfortunately, but I’m absolutely loving it on my ROG Xbox Ally X right now.
I expect to be playing a lot of that game over the weekend as a result, but I’ll certainly be checking out a few things on my Xbox Series X as well – the main one being Mixtape, which is the latest addition to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
