Subros Ltd has secured a new order worth about ₹52.18 crore from Indian Railways’ Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, for the comprehensive annual maintenance of cab HVAC units, the company said in an exchange filing on Thursday, December 4.
The contract covers maintenance of air-conditioning systems installed in locomotive driver cabins, to be executed over three years.
Subros, founded in 1985 as a joint venture with the Suri family, Denso Corporation and Suzuki Motor Corporation, is a manufacturer of thermal products for automotive applications. The company supplies compressors, condensers, heat exchangers and complete AC systems across passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, railways and refrigerated transport.
The company is already a supplier of Rail Driver Cabin & Coach Air-Conditioning System(s) to Indian Railways, and with the addition of this order, it has “now expanded itself into service contracts,” the auto thermal systems maker said.

The auto components major reported an 11.8% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹40.7 crore for the September 2025 quarter, compared with ₹36.4 crore in the same period last year.
Its revenue rose 6.2% year-on-year to ₹879.8 crore from ₹828.3 crore, while EBITDA declined 10.1% to ₹68.4 crore from ₹76.1 crore in the year-ago quarter. Operating margin stood at 7.7% for the quarter, compared with 9.2% a year earlier.
Shares of Subros Ltd were trading at the lows of ₹876.05, down 0.11% as of 12:35 pm on Thursday. The stock has surged 16.78% in the past six months.
