Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is second half of the last trading session of the week, and the markets are holding the gains. The markets are en route to flip this week from red to green, as the Nifty surges over 200 points, rising above the 24,150 mark. The Nifty Bank is also surging, jumping over 500 points. TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Wipro are the top gainers in the tech advance.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the bulls are hoping that the markets hold the gains and build on momentum. The bulls look eager to close the week in the green as the market recovers from the mid-week mayhem on the last day of trade of the week. The Nifty is up around 200 points and is rising towards 24,150. The Sensex is also surging, jumping over 600 points, rising to the 77,400 mark.
Having cooled over 170 points from the day’s high, the Nifty is still below the 24,000 mark, which remains an important level to close above for the bulls on a weekly basis. The Nifty needs to hit past the 24,270.85 mark to close in the green.
23,800 remains a key support on the downside. A lot will depend on TCS reacts to its results, which were in line with subdued expectations. TCS’ results will also impact the rest of the IT stocks.
The Nifty Bank managed to reclaim the 57,000 mark, although the 57,500 level is the first barrier to cross for the index to return to the 58,000 level.
To close the week on a high, the Nifty needs to end above 24,270, while the Nifty Bank needs a close above 57,938.
