Royal Family Christmas plans are in chaos, according to new claims, as a fresh feud is thought to be looming.

King Charles and Princess Kate have both battled cancer this year, taking time away from royal duties to focus on their recovery.

A friend of Prince Andrew’s has spoken out about the impact the royal health crises have had on this year’s Christmas plans.

They said: “It will be a quieter Christmas than last year, but the question is, how quiet?”

The insider continued to tell The Daily Beast: “Usually everyone would know what bits they are invited to by now.

“This year, it’s just wait and see.”

Prince Andrew, 64, stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after his career-ending Newsnight interview, where he discussed his friendship with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

One royal event Andrew continues to attend is the royal walkabout on the Sandringham Estate each Christmas.

Last year, he was joined by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who had not publicly celebrated Christmas with the Royal Family since 1991.

Friends of the Yorks claim Andrew and Fergie are waiting for their invitations.

King Charles is expected to still be receiving cancer treatment in December.

He has been touring Australia and Samoa in recent days and has sought to maintain a light schedule.

At one lunch held in his honour, for example, he only stayed for 10 minutes.

Princess Kate, 42, is also thought to be hosting a “rival party” at Anmer Hall with Prince William, Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton.

Friends of the couple have claimed it will be “notable for its studied informality” in comparison to Charles’s celebrations at Sandringham House.
