Property expert shares how to speed up the selling of your house – ‘secure an offer in a matter of weeks’

According to property expert at We Buy Any Home Terry Fisher, there’s a faster way to sell your home without reducing the price.
Terry said: “Most people think selling a home has to be a long, drawn-out process, but that’s simply not true. With the right strategy, you can attract buyers quickly and secure an offer in a matter of weeks – sometimes even days.”
The property expert’s first strategy is to price properties correctly from the beginning.
He explained: “Homes that are priced competitively from the start generate more interest and sell up to 30 per cent faster. If a home lingers on the market for too long, buyers start to wonder what’s wrong with it.”
When you give a house viewing, focus on making a powerful first impression, as buyers form opinions within seconds.
Terry said: “Decluttering, neutral decor, and boosting curb appeal are small changes that can have a massive impact. If a home looks move-in ready, buyers are more likely to make an offer immediately.”
The third strategy is the 24-hour viewing rule, where all viewings are scheduled over one or two days instead of spreading them across weeks.
Terry explained: “This creates a sense of urgency. When buyers see others interested in the property, they’re more likely to make a competitive offer on the spot.”
Another option is skipping the traditional property chain and using cash buyers. This approach eliminates delays caused by mortgage approvals and collapsing buyer chains.
The property expert advised: “Selling to a cash buyer means no waiting, no risk of deals falling through, and no hidden fees. For homeowners who need to sell fast due to financial changes, relocation, or inheritance, this is often the best option.”
