Product recall: Iceland issues urgent recall of lasagnes as Italian dish deemed ‘unsafe to eat’

Iceland Foods Ltd has issued a recall for its Vegetable Lasagne product due to potential plastic contamination.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned consumers that the product is unsafe to eat.

The supermarket chain is taking immediate action following the discovery that the vegetable lasagne may contain pieces of plastic.

In other food recall news, Waitrose is urgently recalling seafood sold in stores due to a packaging error.

Customers are being warned not to consume these seafood sticks as a precaution. The affected products have a Best Before Date of October 5, 2024.

The supermarket is asking shoppers to package up the seafood sticks and return them to their local Waitrose & Partners branch.

A full refund will be provided to all customers returning the recalled product.
