We’re living in strange times

PlayStation has just dropped an overview trailer for what’s coming to PS5 in 2026, and while we certainly wouldn’t normally cover that here at Pure Xbox, one certain big green inclusion has made us reconsider. Sony is directly advertising Halo: Campaign Evolved as one of its “must-play games coming soon to PS5”.
We know, we know, Microsoft is basically multiplatform at this point and we already knew about this Halo remake heading to PS5 next year. Regardless, it’s still weird to see PlayStation advertise the game – especially as one of its most-anticipated titles of the 2026 gaming calendar.
Regardless, that’s all here and true in the above trailer, which highlights Halo: Campaign Evolved alongside the likes of 007 First Light, Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem – and a bunch of other titles and PS5 exclusives of course.
Back when Halo: Campaign Evolved was first announced by Xbox and the newly-rebranded Halo Studios, we asked you fine folks how you felt about the game launching day and date on PS5. Your answers were interesting to say the least, and clearly, Sony and the PlayStation team are feeling quite good about having a Halo game in their 2026 lineup. Strange, strange times!
What do you think about Sony directly advertising Halo: Campaign Evolved? Talk to us about this trailer down below.
