Nando’s launches a new item putting a ‘secret sauce’ on the menu for the first time – available from today

Nando’s has launched a new menu item featuring a previously secret sauce that’s now available to all customers.

Extra Saucy Wings, made with the cult-favourite PERi-Flamer sauce, hits all UK and Ireland restaurants today.

The sauce has long been available only to those “in-the-know” who specifically asked for it, despite not being listed on the menu.

Now Nando’s is bringing this secret to the masses as part of its official menu from today, March 11, 2025.

PERi-Flamer combines two of Nando’s popular sauces – PERi-Tamer and Hot – creating a sweet, smoky and spicy flavour profile. The sauce has developed its own dedicated following over the years.

Enthusiasts have been quietly requesting it as a special addition to their regular orders.

Despite not appearing on any official menu until now, PERi-Flamer has maintained a strong underground reputation among Nando’s aficionados.

The chain is now officially acknowledging the sauce’s popularity by featuring it prominently in this new dish.

The new Extra Saucy Wings come in three serving options: three, five or 10 flame-grilled chicken wings.

Each wing is generously coated in PERi-Flamer sauce and finished with a drizzle of creamy yoghurt dressing. Nando’s warns that “napkins will definitely be needed” for this messy treat.

Price options start at £5.75 for three wings on their own or £11.75 with two sides. Five wings cost £8 (£14 with sides), while 10 wings are priced at £13.25 (£19.25 with sides). Each wing contains 111 calories.

Sauce is a key part of the Nando’s experience and customers can grab sauce by the bottle or pour from sauce taps to enhance their meals.

In February, Nando’s brought back its Creamy Salad Dressing after removing it from the Sauce Station in 2021. The return came after persistent customer requests, with fans “begging for it to make a comeback” since its removal.

Extra Saucy Wings are available for eat-in, collection and via Nando’s Delivery service from today. Customers can also enjoy the new wings for free through Nando’s Rewards programme.
