A new AGE
As part of the property’s 40th anniversary celebrations, Bandai Namco has announced a brand new Dragon Ball ‘Game Project’, currently named ‘AGE 1000’.
Details are practically nonexistent right now — we don’t even have any confirmed platforms — but the game’s due in 2027, and we’ll hear more about it at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event, which is happening in April.
AGE 1000 will feature a brand new character crafted by the late Akira Toriyama. The project’s reveal trailer (which we’ve included at the top of this article) mentions the Dragon Ball creator by name, so it’s assumed that Toriyama had a decent say in whatever this title turns out to be.
What do you make of this one? Just pray it isn’t a mobile game in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you’re lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
