“Mismanagement of Proceeds Not Enough To Bring Back Subsidy” – Obi
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has reiterated his support for the removal of petrol subsidy.
Obi spoke on Monday at a conference organised by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
He said the removal was the right economic decision, but blamed poor management of the proceeds for the hardship Nigerians are facing.
“The policy is not the problem. The problem is what we have done with the money,” he stated.
