Mike Tyson makes worrying admission and reveals injuries after losing Jake Paul boxing fight
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has revealed he “blanked out” during his recent fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
The 58-year-old boxing legend lost the bout via unanimous decision in Dallas, landing just 18 punches throughout the eight rounds.
In a startling admission during an interview with Fox Sports Radio, Tyson confessed he can barely remember the fight.
The controversial match had already drawn widespread criticism before Tyson’s concerning revelation about his memory loss, with many figures unhappy that the contest was allowed to go ahead.
“I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little,” the 58-year-old said.
The boxing icon could only recall the first round and Paul’s respectful bow at the end of the fight.
The physical toll of the bout was evident, with Tyson revealing significant soreness afterwards.
“My body was really sore. My chest, my stomach was really sore,” he admitted.
The morning after the fight, Tyson questioned his decision to step into the ring.
“The day after I woke up and said to my wife, ‘why did I do that?’ I just don’t know what the hell was going on,” he confessed.

The motivation behind his comeback was deeply personal, as he wanted his children to witness him boxing, something they missed during his prime years.
“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won,” Tyson reflected in his post-fight statement.

The boxing legend expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete at Cowboys Stadium against a fighter half his age.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for,” he said.
Paul responded to Tyson’s statement with respect, writing: “Love you Mike. It was an honour. You’re an inspiration to us all.”
It’s unclear who the 27-year-old will fight next, however. While bouts with Canelo Alvarez and Tommy Fury have been mooted, the former YouTube and Disney star is yet to confirm his next move.
