MIAMI, Florida—MIA Hospitality Management (MIAHM) detailed its growth, including its expansion to seven hotels, one rooftop venue, and more than 1,000 rooms in its first year of operation. The company also added its first third-party management agreement and became an approved franchise management company for both Marriott International and Hyatt.
Founded in September 2025 by hotel developer and owner Robert Finvarb and hospitality executive Brian Vujnovic, MIAHM was created to close the gap that can exist between an owner’s investment goals and the realities of operating a hotel. Its leadership team brings 75 years of combined experience across hotel development, operations, revenue management, guest experience, and food and beverage, having collectively developed, acquired, and asset-managed 20 hotels across more than seven states and Washington, D.C.
Portfolio Growth
Over the past year, MIAHM has applied that model across AC Hotel Miami Brickell, Element by Westin Miami Brickell, Hyatt Centric South Beach, Courtyard Miami Coconut Grove, SpringHill Suites Miami Downtown Medical District, Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port, and Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport, supported by more than 250 associates and a newly established above-property leadership team.
The addition of Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport on July 1, 2026, extended that model to a new ownership partner. As MIAHM’s first third-party management agreement, the 143-room hotel marked a significant step in the company’s evolution, bringing its ownership and development experience into an outside management relationship.
Statements From Leadership
“When we launched MIA Hospitality Management, our goal was to build a company that could think like an owner and execute like an operator across every part of the hotel, including food and beverage,” said Brian Vujnovic, chief executive officer and co-founder of MIA Hospitality Management. “This first year has been about putting the right leadership, teams and systems in place, applying that model across our portfolio and earning the opportunity to manage a hotel for a third-party owner. We are incredibly proud of what our team has built and the foundation now in place for the company’s next chapter.”
“I have spent my career on the ownership side of this business, and that perspective shapes how we manage,” said Robert Finvarb, partner and co-founder of MIA Hospitality Management. “We manage for bottom-line results, and we weigh every decision the way an owner would: what it costs, what it returns, and what it does to the long-term value of the asset. Food and beverage is held to that same standard, as a contributor to performance rather than an amenity. Having an outside owner place their hotel with us in our first year tells us that that lens resonates.”
The agreement also placed Runway Rooftop Bar & Grill under MIAHM’s management, bringing the company’s hotel and food and beverage capabilities together at a single property. MIAHM’s leadership has more than five years of experience developing, owning and asset-managing rooftop hospitality concepts, including Charlie Park in Tallahassee and Rosa Sky in Miami. At Runway, that experience is being applied to a repositioning built around the surrounding community: a revamped menu shaped by local tastes, a rebuilt cocktail and wine program, and a recurring calendar of weekly and monthly programming intended to give Space Coast residents a standing reason to return. The objective is a venue the community treats as its own destination rather than a hotel bar that happens to be open to the public.
MIAHM’s operating perspective increasingly reaches hotels before they open. Working alongside development teams during planning and design, the company evaluates how guestrooms, public areas, restaurants, bar and back-of-house spaces will function together once a property is running, allowing staffing, service flow, circulation and revenue potential to be weighed while key design decisions are still open. The company is currently applying that approach to a full-service lifestyle hotel under development in Florida, planned with a rooftop bar and lounge and a rooftop restaurant.
As it enters its second year, MIAHM is building on the owner-operator model established at its launch, extending from a South Florida hotel portfolio into third-party management, destination food and beverage, and pre-opening advisory work. The company anticipates continued portfolio growth over the next 24 months through a combination of additional third-party management agreements and hotels owned by affiliates of its founders.
