Maybe play this one in mandarin

With the long-awaited Lost Soul Aside now available worldwide – be sure to read our review in progress for an early verdict on the game – some scattered clips of the English localisation are beginning to go viral on social media.
It should be noted that this title has been developed by a small team within China, and thus is likely better experienced in its native mandarin. However, the clips are far too amusing not to share.
This first one is particularly funny, as it shows the protagonist falling to his death, with an ear-piercing yell that rivals the legendary Wilhelm scream:

This other clip from a cutscene later in the game also raises a wry smile, as it shows a character literally kicking a child across the floor:
As fans progress through the game, we’d expect more amusing memes to emerge.
As we noted in our Lost Soul Aside review in progress, the storytelling and voice acting is a real weak point. But we’re enjoying some of the combat thus far, and we still think there are redeeming qualities to this release. Price may ultimately be its largest hurdle.
