‘Legacy media will freak out!’ Watch tech expert’s blistering take on Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook free speech revamp
Tech expert Allum Bokhari has launched a scathing attack on the legacy media after Mark Zuckerberg’s latest social media announcement, stating they “will freak out.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced a dramatic overhaul of Facebook’s content moderation policies, transforming it into a free speech platform similar to Elon Musk’s X.
Speaking to GBN America, tech expert Allum Bokhari said: “There’ll be a little bit of a freak out.
“I think the freak out is more likely to come from journalists and people in the nonprofit world, because those have always been the people who have been, in my experience, the most rabidly committed to censorship.
“Especially the legacy media. The legacy media has a vested economic interest in slowing down the pace of social media in anyway possible, because it really is a threat to some of those old newspapers and those old networks.”
He added: “There’s something interesting going on with the Democrats and with establishment left wing parties in general.

“There’s like a broad recognition that the the electoral formula they’ve been using since the Obama years has stopped working. In a way, it stopped compelling the public.
“Wokeness is a big part of that. You’re seeing a lot of Democrats saying we need to ditch wokeness. Immigration is a big part of that.
“We’ve seen Justin Trudeau in Canada, even Keir Starmer in the U.K., Bernie Sanders in the US trying to get to the right.
“Bernie Sanders is trying to get to the right of Elon Musk on the H1B debate. You’re even seeing left wing parties thinking that the immigration thing needs to be reexamined.
“I think censorship is a part of that. Online censorship is going to be a part of that, too.
“There’s going to be much less appetite amongst Democrats, amongst left wing parties, to do the kinds of censorship they were advocating for between 2016 and 2020.”
The Facebook founder revealed plans to eliminate fact-checkers, citing concerns over political bias.
“The fact-checkers have just been too politically biased, and have destroyed more trust than they’ve created, especially in the U.S.,” Zuckerberg told Fox & Friends.
The move represents a significant shift for the social media giant, which has faced criticism over its content moderation practices in recent years.
Under the new system, Facebook will replace fact-checkers with community notes, mirroring the approach used by X.
The changes will affect all Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Threads.
