Lee Anderson has claimed that the “lefties need to stop whinging” over Donald Trump’s victory in a furious rant to GB News.
The Reform UK MP said: “Obviously all these idiots, these electors are whinging now.
They’re crying into the cornflakes and saying that Donald’s going to do this. He’s going to do that.
“Look, he’s got great effects on this country. It doesn’t help when you’ve got idiots like David Lammy spouting off all the time.
“These lunatics in Parliament need to eat a little bit of humble pie.
“Look, we need to we need to have a proper relationship with the US and Nigel was quite right. We need to roll the red carpet out for Donald Trump and do some business with him.”

In 2018, Lammy wrote in Time magazine that Trump was “a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath” and “a profound threat to the international order”.
Speaking on BBC’s Newscast podcast, the Foreign Secretary dismissed his previous remarks as “old news”, noting many politicians had made “pretty ripe” comments about Trump.
Lammy explained there is a clear distinction between speaking as a backbencher and serving with “the real duty of public office”.
“There are things I know now that I didn’t know back then,” Mr Lammy told the BBC, reflecting on his current position.
The Foreign Secretary met Trump at his eponymously named tower in New York two months ago, where the past criticisms were not discussed.
Lammy described Trump as “a very gracious host” who “did offer me a second portion of chicken” during their dinner meeting.
According to the Foreign Secretary, Trump was “very warm about the UK” and showed particular fondness for Scotland and the Royal Family.
Other Labour figures have also faced scrutiny, with Health Secretary Wes Streeting having called Trump an “odious, sad little man”.
Lammy revealed he had made deliberate efforts to build bridges with Republicans, having anticipated Trump’s potential return to power.
He noted his common ground with Trump’s vice-president JD Vance, citing their shared experiences of poverty and family addiction issues.
Opposition leader Kemi Badenoch has called for Labour to apologise for the Foreign Secretary’s past comments about Donald Trump.
Badenoch also urged for Trump to receive an invitation to Parliament during her first PMQs as Tory leader.
