LeBron James makes gesture before six security guards step in to kick out rowdy fan in Lakers game

LeBron James playfully joined in on the calls for an unruly fan to be ejected from the preseason fixture between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns on Sunday evening.

The 39-year-old played alongside Bronny James in the game to become the first father-son duo in NBA history.

The iconic moment came in the second quarter as the pair stepped out onto the court together for the first time.

LeBron’s evening was over after the second quarter as he finished the game playing just 16 minutes and scoring 19 points.

However, he was active on the Lakers bench in the third quarter during a disruption to the game.

Josh Okogie was at the free throw line for the Suns with the third quarter coming to a close when play was halted due to a disturbance in the crowd.

It was reported by The Athletic that the spectator had picked up a loose ball and shot it from behind the basket.

The ball failed to clear the backboard though and bounced back into the crowd, prompting security asking him to leave.

As the man refused to leave his seat, the crowd grew restless with boos ringing around the arena.

LeBron leapt out of his chair and playfully joined in the calls for the man to be ejected.

He repeatedly flung his arm back in a gesture for security to get him out of the arena while laughing alongside Anthony Davis.

Suns star Kevin Durant similarly saw the funny side, jokingly shouting ‘get the f*** out’.

The man was eventually dragged away by security as cheers rung around the arena.

But he didn’t leave willingly with six security guards needed to haul him out.

The Lakers ended up losing 118-114 to the Suns with LeBron finishing as the top points scorer with 19 off just 16 minutes.
