JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa has completed a renovation of its 115,000-square-foot meeting and event space. The updated facilities feature a desert-modern design, upgraded audiovisual technology, and expanded areas connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. The property is located among Tucson Mountain and Saguaro National Park.
The renovation is part of a broader property-wide update. The meeting and event spaces now include 38 venues, including the 20,000-square-foot Arizona Ballroom, the largest ballroom in Tucson, and 26 flexible breakout rooms. The resort can accommodate up to 3,300 attendees for meetings and events.
Guest accommodations at the resort include 522 guest rooms and 53 suites, all refreshed as part of the enhancements. Technology improvements in the meeting spaces include state-of-the-art audiovisual capabilities and LED wall installations. The design incorporates elements inspired by the Sonoran landscape, featuring natural materials and a palette that reflects sand, stone, and green tones.
The redesign was led by Ellis Adams Group. The updated spaces feature native woods, woven textiles, handcrafted details, aged leather, patinated metals, and canvas textures. The renovation also introduced a seamless flow between meeting spaces and open-air gathering areas.
Additional enhancements across the resort include refurbishments to the golf course and clubhouse, as well as updates to the Reflection Pools and Salud Terrace, which now offer modern cabanas and seating arranged around fire features.
The property is owned by Southwest Value Partners. The resort offers a total of 575 guest accommodations, including both rooms and suites. The meeting and event facilities are designed to support a range of group sizes and event types.
