Jake Paul involved in blazing row with British boxing legend after beating Mike Tyson
Jake Paul has fired shots at British boxing legend Carl Froch on social media in the wake of his victory over Mike Tyson in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 27-year-old easily beat Tyson by unanimous decision, with the former YouTube and Disney star securing arguably the biggest victory of his career to date.
However, given Tyson is 58, many figures associated with the sport are unhappy that the contest went ahead.
Tyson looked his age during the showdown at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with the veteran understandably a shadow of the man that dominated boxing during the 1980s and 1990s.
Froch, reacting to the win on his YouTube channel, said: “He’s [Jake Paul] such a big commodity.
“He sells tickets, he puts bums on seats, people are interested. Netflix, 30 million, come on!
“74,000 at the AT&T, not quite 80,000 is it? He’s not there yet. He is getting there but he’s not quite there.
“He doesn’t do the big crowds, does he? But he pulls in the old Bunsen burner (money) doesn’t he, Jake Paul, so I don’t think he will hang his gloves up.
“There’ll be a plan for Jake Paul. I’ll tell you what, my mobile phone won’t be ringing will it? Won’t be sending me an email, they won’t be contacting my agent to get a fight because they know.
“I ain’t calling him out, I’m just letting you know, that he knows, that I f***ing know, if I went in there with Jake Paul it would be an absolute mismatch.
“One round demolition job. I’d even tie one arm behind my back.”
But Paul has taken issue with Froch’s comments and hit out at the Briton.

Writing on X, the American said: “F***ing sour loser. Shut the f**k up.
“I’ve done more in 4 years than you have in your life. First and last time I respond to your broke salty a**. Let me know if you want to wash my cars.”
Froch, however, has responded to Paul with a brutal message of his own.
“Listen up Jakey boy… @jakepaul I’m 11 years retired, not done a round of boxing for over a decade, I’m old, grey, and out of shape,” he said.

“But, I’d still give your missus the best night of her life! I bet she dreams about a real man.
“Let me know if you still want your cars washing, she can let me in through The Back Door.
“PS, I’d knock you out in 30 seconds, you are USELESS.”
Paul has now won 11 of his 12 professional fights, with a defeat to Tommy Fury the only time he’s failed to come out on top.
He is widely expected to stick with boxing, despite being a polarising figure within the sport.
And Paul has been called out by world champion Artur Beterbiev following his victory over Tyson, though it’s currently unclear if the two men will actually step into the ring together.
