‘He will be aware’: Bev Turner says Nigel Farage has a major problem with Reform UK

Reform UK has a major problem which Nigel Farage will be keen to address, according to GB News host Bev Turner.

The populist party is making historic polling gains and this week took the lead in a YouGov poll for the first time.

The right-wing party secured 25 per cent support in the latest survey, conducted earlier this week, putting it ahead of both Labour and the Conservatives.

But according to Bev, the party needs to address its lack of women in key positions.

“If Nigel Farage is watching, he needs to get some women involved in that party, and I know he will agree with me on that”, she said.

“I know Nigel and I know he will be conscious of that.”

Reform UK has made some strides on that front with the naming of Ann Widdecombe as its spokeswoman and ex-Tory minister Andrea Jenkyns defected to the party last year.

But all five of its MPs are men and the top brass is dominated by males, with chairman Zia Yusuf and leader Nigel Farage.

The lack of women has seemingly done little to deter Britons who are turning away from the mainstream parties in their droves to back Nigel’s movement.

The poll results were lauded by Reform UK’s leadership with deputy leader Richard Tice saying: “Much more to come as common sense policies welcomed to save Britain and make us better off.”

Nigel Farage shared the results on social media with the message: “Britain wants Reform.”

Zia Yusuf, the Reform UK chairman, said: “The latest polling confirms what we all know, Reform has all the momentum in British politics.”

He added: “It’s becoming clearer by the week that a vote for the Tories is a wasted vote. Reform are now the real opposition to Labour. Britain needs Reform.”

Reform’s surge is reflected in their growing financial strength, highlighted by a recent fundraising event at Oswald’s private members’ club in Mayfair.

Top table seats at the event went for £25,000 each, with former Conservative donors Mohamed Amersi and Bassim Haidar in attendance.

Nick Candy, the billionaire property mogul and former Tory donor who now serves as Reform treasurer, helped compere the event.

Sources indicate some of the party’s new funding will be used to establish a party-aligned think tank to develop policies before the next election.

The party has overtaken the Conservatives in every major poll by at least one point, cementing its position as a major political force.

Former Conservative deputy chairman Jonathan Gullis has warned party leader Kemi Badenoch must develop new policies to counter Reform’s rising threat.

Speaking on GB News, Gullis predicted Reform would make significant gains in upcoming elections, particularly in Wales and Scotland.

He cautioned that Reform’s surge was inevitable, saying: “Reform are benefiting from not being Labour nor being Conservative.”

“Kemi Badenoch’s only been in the job for a couple of months and it’s going to take time for her to come up with policy,” Gullis added.
