Welcome to Forza Horizon 6 week! Well, kind of.
The game doesn’t officially release in terms of its Standard Edition until May 19th, but the early access period begins for Premium Edition owners on May 15th, so some players will be getting access to it later this week.
There are two ways to access the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 6. The first is just to buy it outright, which includes the base game along with early access, VIP Membership, a Welcome Pack, a Time Attack Car Pack, a Car Pass, a post-launch Italian Passion Car Pack, and access to the two post-launch expansions as well.
This is expensive though — it retails for £109.99 / $119.99 on the Xbox Store, although you might find it cheaper if you shop around (we’ve seen it on Loaded for £69.99, for example, and we’re not really sure how that works!).
Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition includes the full game with Early Access – Play 4 days early starting 15th May, and VIP Membership, Welcome Pack, Time Attack Car Pack, and Car Pass (30 cars delivered to your game, one per week), as well as the Italian Passion Car Pack and two Premium Expansions coming post-launch.
Alternatively, if you already plan to play Forza Horizon 6 through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, there’s a special Forza Horizon 6 Premium Upgrade Bundle that takes out the base game, because it assumes that you’ll have access to that already through Game Pass. As a result, you get a significant saving on the cost.
So, if you want to play Forza Horizon 6 early with the Premium Upgrade Bundle this week, you can grab it on the Xbox Store at a price of £59.99 / $59.99, and again, we’ve found it cheaper on other websites too (but be wary where you buy it from — make sure you choose a reputable seller, or just play it safe and go directly through Xbox / Steam).
Get Early Access with the Premium Upgrade – Play 4 days early starting May 15. Forza Horizon 6 Premium Upgrade is the best value for Game Pass members as compared to buying each included item separately and a great option for Standard and Deluxe Edition players looking to expand their journey at the Horizon Festival.
Of course, the alternative is just to wait for May 19th so you can play the Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 6 with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, or just buy it standalone instead. Keep in mind that FH6 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title as well, meaning you get the PC version for free if you buy the Xbox console version.
What are your plans, then? Will you be diving into Forza Horizon 6’s Premium Upgrade Bundle this week, picking up the full Premium Edition, going for the Deluxe Edition, or just waiting for the Standard Edition on May 19th? Tell us below.
