Bandai Namco is set to continue supporting Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero in a big way this year, and as it turns out, the fighter’s first update of 2026 is just around the corner.
Launching on the 26th January, the free update will add a new mode called ‘Mission 100’. As the name suggests, this is a collection of 100 single player battles, each packing a different challenge.
But this is apparently just the start for Sparking! Zero’s 2026. Another free update is scheduled for the spring, and that one’s going to introduce a dedicated ‘Survival Mode’.
And then there’s the headline act. A “major” DLC is releasing in the summer, which will include new characters, new stages, another new single player mode, additional costumes, and more.
You can catch a glimpse of this DLC in the below showcase, which teases characters like Super Saiyan Bardock, King Piccolo, and Super Android 17.
So yeah, if you’re a Sparking! Zero fan, there’s plenty to look forward to. Do you still dip into this one? Tell us which characters you most want to see in the comments section below.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
