Dhurandhar: The Revenge trailer is out. The action-packed, three-and-a-half-minute clip lives up to its title, promising an ‘epic revenge.’ The trailer has sent fans into a frenzy, promising an even darker and more explosive chapter in this espionage universe.

The clip opens to a flashback to the chilling IC-814 hijacking from the first film and the brutal elimination of Rahman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) at the hands of Hamza. A major highlight is the introduction of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, the true identity of Ranveer Singh’s R&AW operative, suggesting the sequel will dive deep into the character’s mysterious backstory and his double life in Lyari.

Sharing the trailer on X, Jio Studios wrote, “Ab Pakistan ka mustakbil, Hindustan tey karega. Trailer Out Now. Book Now for Paid Previews on 18th March only. #DhurandharTheRevenge

releases worldwide on 19 March, on Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid.”

Boasting breathtaking visuals, high-stakes drama and explosive action scenes, this sequel appears poised to scale the Dhurandhar franchise to unprecedented heights.

Ranveer Singh returns in dual roles

The film features Ranveer Singh, this time, in a dual role. Updates shared around the project indicate he will appear as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari.

The storyline continues the espionage thread introduced earlier. Hamza’s rise within Lyari is a key part of the narrative, along with his involvement in covert intelligence operations.

The sequel is also expected to revisit the character’s earlier transformation – the shift from Jaskirat Singh Rangi into Hamza.

Exact plot details have not yet been revealed. The trailer scheduled for Saturday is likely to clarify the direction of the second chapter.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Ahead of the film’s theatrical debut, the makers are also planning special paid preview screenings in India on March 18.

The project is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar. Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar are also the producers.

The theatrical release date places the film close to several festive periods. Its March 19 launch falls around Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, and shortly before Eid, a window often seen as favourable for major theatrical releases.

A quick recap of the first film

The first Dhurandhar film introduced a large ensemble cast that included R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal.

The story centred on an Indian intelligence operative working undercover in Karachi, navigating criminal networks while attempting to dismantle a terror group seen as a threat to India’s security.

Box office figures reported by Sacnilk placed the first film’s global earnings at ₹1305.35 crore, making it one of the bigger worldwide performers from the Indian market.

With the sequel now approaching its release date, the trailer arriving this weekend will offer the clearest preview yet of where the story moves next.
