Delhi crime branch seizes over 10,000 fake OPPO, OnePlus, Realme accessories

The Anti-Gang Squad (AGS) unit of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted a large counterfeit mobile accessories racket operating in parts of Delhi, officials said on Sunday, May 10. The operation led to the seizure of more than 10,000 fake mobile accessories allegedly sold under the names of popular smartphone brands, including OPPO, OnePlus and Realme.

According to the Crime Branch, the accused were involved in manufacturing, packaging, and selling fake accessories, branding them as original or duty-free products. Police said the counterfeit items were imported from China and later repackaged for sale in local markets.

During the crackdown, two godowns in Regharpura, Karol Bagh, were sealed. Officials said these facilities were being used for packaging and branding fake mobile accessories. A factory operating in Moti Nagar, where counterfeit packaging boxes of major mobile brands were allegedly being printed and manufactured, was also sealed.

Police said one printing press and multiple storage units were found during the operation. Eight machines allegedly used in the illegal branding and manufacturing process were seized from the locations.

Two accused have been arrested in connection with the case. Investigators said the accused were packaging counterfeit products on a large scale and selling them in the market under the names of reputed brands.

The operation was carried out by Inspector Pawan Kumar under ACP Bhagwati Prasad and supervised by DCP Harsh Indora, according to the Crime Branch.

Officials said further investigation is underway to identify the wider supply chain and others involved in the counterfeit network.
