Chris Eubank Jr reveals method he used to smuggle eggs into explosive Conor Benn face-off
Chris Eubank Jr has revealed how he smuggled eggs into Tuesday’s heated press conference with Conor Benn.
Despite using just one egg to slap his rival, Eubank Jr had plenty more ammunition ready.
The 35-year-old shared a social media post showing the jacket he wore in Manchester, with one pocket containing dozens of eggs, therefore explaining how he smuggled them in.
The pair will finally settle their rivalry at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26, coming face-to-face in Manchester on Tuesday night.
The press conference quickly descended into chaos during the face-off.
Eubank Jr leaned in and slapped Benn with his left hand while holding an egg, sparking mayhem on stage.
Even promoters Eddie Hearn and Ben Shalom became involved in the melee.
The egg slap left many stunned, with Benn later taking to social media to respond angrily.

“That’s the only shot you’ll land on me you f*****g p***k. Two rounds you are finished,” Benn wrote.
The incident dominated discussion of the press conference, overshadowing the verbal exchanges that had preceded it.
The eggs were a deliberate reference to Benn’s previous explanation for his failed drug tests in 2022.
Benn had claimed his adverse findings were the result of eating too many eggs.

Benn also took aim at Eubank Jr’s relationship with his father during the press conference.
“Chris can say what he wants, but the bottom line is his dad don’t even like him,” Benn said.
“You could not pay that man enough money to sit in this man’s corner. Now that’s an accomplishment, Chris. Most unlikeable geezer on the planet, even your own dad don’t like you.”
Benn was recently cleared to reapply for his British Boxing Board of Control licence after a National Anti-Doping Panel ruling.
The 28-year-old had been under investigation after two adverse analytical findings for clomiphene, a fertility drug with performance-enhancing benefits.
His second failed test emerged just days before his originally scheduled bout with Eubank Jr in October 2022.
